In Tribute

It was February 8, 1954
All of a sudden, I was pregnant no more.
This little baby was very much alive-
Although two weeks early, and time to arrive!

Five pounds, 7 and 1/2 ounces is what "she" weighed
"Please, Lord, a girl" is what I had prayed.
Amy was the first-born who made me a Mother!
Then two years later, along came her brother!

A special time filled with love and joy ~
To have been blessed with a girl and boy!
So let us celebrate your birthday on Mother's Day
The memories that linger are here to stay.
