The "Fall" of the Year (2002)   
(don't let the title mislead you)

 

'Twas April the 20th when I
     had a bad fall ~
Don't know what caused it,
    or why it happened at all !

No broken bones, but couldn't
    raise my right arm.
An MRI revealed all the harm:
    a torn rotator cuff that needed repair.
And an awful black sling that
    I had to wear !

The arthroscopic surgery went
    very well ~

And after six months of physical therapy,
    I'm feeling just swell !
