  • Very Best: Basic and value plan coverage plus coverage for some chronic and long-term conditions that manifest in previous coverage year, $13,000 maximum benefit per year; $71.11 per month for dogs, $62.17 per month for cats.

Veterinary Pet Insurance

  • Enrollment: 6 weeks and older.

  • Coverage: Fourteen-day waiting period after policy is approved.

  • Claims: Processed within two weeks.

  • Discounts: 5 to 10 percent discount for multiple pets.

  • Also offers coverage for avian and exotic pets.
